The move should be all finished up by tomorrow night. This has been a strung out for two weeks ordeal and it's about to do me in. We picked a bad time to move. The weekend fell on Easter when most everyone was busy with family. It's hard to find anybody available during the week so we've had to go like hell when we've had help available. Let's see... Denny, Scott, Chris, Waylon, Brent, a friend of Way's whose name I didn't catch, Daniel, and Kevin... that's eight guys who've helped at some point. Too bad they weren't all available at the same time for a two day stretch - we'd have had this thing knocked in the head. If there's ever a next time I'm just going to hire someone else to do it all while I stand back and watch.

Everything piles up in the garage and front rooms of the house, then I put it away, then more piles in. I was keeping up with all of it but now am running out of room to put things so I've gone into throw away mode. Should've done that about four truckloads ago. I wouldn't care if the rest of it never made it over here.

I'm missing a box of stuff from my china cabinet so I can't put the stuff in it yet. That's about to drive me crazy. I like to finish things up then move to the next chore. This house appears to have a black hole somewhere that sucks things up. Benjamin lost a pacifer last Saturday and we never have found it. Christopher is missing one of his remote controls to his 4x4 truck and my box of china is gone. Of course nothing of Todd's is missing yet and he's the one that could stand to lose some things. I doubt he's ever gotten rid of anything in the last 20 years and if he has you can bet he's replaced it with something newer and better. He keeps trying to crowd over onto my fourth of the office. I'll be working off the ceiling if this keeps up.

No, I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth although it sure feels like it. We have been in full move mode since last Wednesday. I have averaged about three hours of sleep each night since then and have worked on the move a minimum of 15 hours each day. There is still quite a bit to do only now I am back to work and doing the move thing in the evenings. I am not good for much of anything tonight but have laundry going. I feel like I am trying to come down with something and staying about half a step ahead of it. Pretty much everyone around me has been sick lately so I'm sure I'll get my turn soon enough. The weather has turned off cold again so that won't help. I'm sure glad we finished moving the big stuff when it was 70 out instead of having to do it when it's 35. There's probably five more truckloads of miscellaneous small stuff to be moved then a major cleaning is in order at the old place before I can turn the keys back to the landlord. Todd will finish moving and I'll help clean and put stuff away after work. It would be nice to have a little time to just sit down and enjoy our new surroundings. Maybe that will happen later.

It's been quite an adjustment on the kids to be in the new place. We had all three kids on Saturday and they had to learn the rules of the new house. No food or drink outside of the dining room or kitchen is the biggest one and the one they all had the most trouble with. I think they'll get used to it soon enough and we can stop reminding them every five minutes.

The easter bunny dropped eggs all over the backyard Sunday morning. I was hoping to catch up on some sleep but Christopher was up at 6 and the other two by 8. Christopher and Emily positioned themselves in the windows and scouted out the eggs they could see then formulated a plan for retrieving them. We had to gently remind them that Ben was in this too and it wouldn't be fair for them to run over him and take all the goodies. So we start them all at the door at the same time with explicit instructions that the older two were to leave the ones in plain view for Ben to get. Ben spots one on the picnic table and goes right after it, drops it and it breaks open. The candy spilled out and once he saw that, he could have cared less about the rest. Todd had to convince him to shut that egg and go grab some more. We ended up spending the rest of Easter moving but that's okay. It's gotta get done somehow. I just hope I can keep going without ending up sicker than a dog.
