Puppy had his first bath tonight. I guess his name is Dozer but I call him Pupperdogz. Anyway, I gave him a bath in Johnson's baby shampoo. That went over pretty good. It was pretty chilly in here so I blow dried him. That didn't go over so well. Better to wrestle him and get him used to it now than wait until he weighs over 100 pounds.
Every year I forget how sharp the curve is from summer into fall. Last night, the pup decided he'd try out whining. Four a.m. and I'm outside with him so he can do his business and hopefully go to sleep. I wasn't cold while I was out there... barefooted of course... but when I came back in, I was instantly cold to the bone. Looked at the thermometer and it was only 38 degrees out. I even turned the furnace on for a bit this morning. Probably a little early to be doing that but I hate being cold. Tonight I am putting the heavy quilt on the bed, snuggling in for a good night's sleep and if that dog starts whining....
I was showing Christopher some pictures I took of the puppy this weekend. He thinks it's kinda crazy that I take so many photos of the same thing. I was surprised tonight when he said "Mom, those are good. I think you are becoming like the Picasso of taking pictures." I was thinking "How does this kid know about Picasso??" and then he said "Did you know that Picasso had what they call a blue period?" My heart leaps with joy! He may not turn out to be hillbilly redneck after all... hehehe
That's the hail Todd referred to last night. Sickening, maddening... ugh!! We bought that stupid shed so we could finally put the car in the garage. Can't put anything in the shed though because the city is making us move it. Can't move it because we can't afford to have someone come do that right now. So now my car has some big time hail damage. One thing after another...
