I have another sewer replacement picture that I haven't downloaded off the camera. It's a shot looking back towards the house from where the backhoe ended it's it work in the middle of the street. I don't think I can bear to look at it until after we get the bill from the plumbers. At least we will never have to worry about sewer troubles again for as long as we live here.

I am still fighting this stupid cold. I've had it ten days and have heard of folks around here who've had it for three weeks. I'm afraid I couldn't take that. Last night I went to bed without the usual dose of Afrin nasal spray and the round of Nyquil. My temperature must've shot up in the night or something because I was sound asleep and the next thing I know, Todd is getting in bed beside me and I'm sitting straight up, holding the cat.

Normally I boot the cat out of the bedrooms and shut the door while we are sleeping so Todd was not expecting the cat. He crawled in bed thinking I had sat up on his account and gently placed a kiss on my shoulder, wrapped one arm around my waist and got ahold of the cat instead of me. I vaguely remember all of this - I think I only do because it was so funny. I know I said "You are going to squish my cat". I'm sure Todd thought I'd gone off the deep end.

This is a picture Todd took the other day of Winnie, the min pin who is looking for a home. I just can't get over how cute she is. (Look at the dog! Not me! I am like five miles of bad road until I at least get a shower.) Anyway, I think Todd brought her home to torment me with. No way could we have a dog that ummm... flimsy? fragile? Not with Dozer the destructo dog around. He'd hurt her just trying to play. My aunt is keeping her until a good home is found. Isn't she a cutie??

And this would be the solution to the clogged drains. Scary, huh? Be thankful that it's our front yard and not yours. It started out as going to replace a short section of pipe and put a cleanout in. Turned into going to replace all the pipe because the whole thing had collapsed. I hate to think what the bill is going to be.

The drains in the house were all plugged last night. There was water standing in the tub and all the sinks. I worked on it with a plunger until well after midnight to no avail. Got up this morning and it seemed like all was well again. Washed some dishes, did another load of laundry and the damn things all clogged up again. The plumber can't make it until tomorrow morning and we can't run water until then. One thing after another.... now I'll start the week being behind on laundry and will have a helluva mess to clean up after the plumbers are done.
