So I stopped taking vitamin C...

and BAM!! Sinus infection. Actually, I had an allergic reaction to antibiotics that created a lot of fluid in my lungs. Somehow in the process of clearing that out, my sinuses went to hell. I've never inhaled gasoline but I bet it feels like this.

Yesterday morning we heard a fighter jet flying very low. Found out later it was our neighbor getting a fly over his house in honor of his retirement from the Air Nat'l Guard. That would be a cool parting gift. Much better than a gold watch.

The problem with my nose

Emily's Christmas program was tonight and I swear, I should have charged a buck every time someone asked what was wrong with my nose. I'd have a lot extra money for shopping.

I almost never have a stuffy nose since I had a broken nose fixed over ten years ago. If you've gone three or four years without a stuffy nose then you know how hard it is when you can't breathe once again. When it happens I go nutty with the blowing and end up with a sore nose. One that looks like I took a header down a concrete slide.

So, for those of you playing at home, I did not fall down. I did not get hit in the face. The dog did not bite me. I simply blew my nose waaaay too much on cheap toilet paper. Disappointingly boring, eh?

Could I be more tired?

Not and still be upright. I am seriously considering a visit to the sleep clinic after the first of the year. This is getting ridiculous.

Oh what fun we are!

Just the two of us tonight and we're both so exhausted that we're headed to bed at 8:30.

Tomorrow morning we get the three kids so they can open presents. I should stay up and finish cleaning but I'm pooped.

Merry Christmas, everyone! and g'nite. *zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz*

Merry Christmas

I often wish I could go back 20 years and re-do all the things I've done. This is the only day of the year I wish I could go back 30 and be a kid again. I miss throwing new clothes off behind me somewhere while I look for the good stuff. I really miss calling my best friend and sharing the details of our bounties.

I did get the second best Christmas present I could ask for as an adult when my Packers came back to beat the Vikings yesterday. It was even sweeter because a friend had told me that my Packers were going down. Todd said I should call their house last night and say "I was at the store and missed the end of the game. Who won? What was the score?" I may do one better and buy him a belated Christmas present in the form of a Packers t-shirt. HA!

Of course the best present ever would have been snow. I checked the forecast at 5AM to see if there had been a change. The only change was in temps. 55 next week?!?!?!? And rain???

2 hours and 10 minutes until the kids get here and Christmas officially begins. I better go finish the morning chores. Hope everyone has a lovely day and if you're in snow, throw a snowball for me, would ya?

Charity

I donated money today to the tsunami relief efforts. I don't usually donate money because I just don't have any. This is different for some reason. I think because it's just overwhelming. The number of people who were here on earth one minute, gone the next. The number of children. Every time I read about the children, I feel so sick. Sick enough I will skip our Tuesday night pizza night a couple of times if it will help.

Anyway, as I was trying to decide who to give my donation to, I kept coming across blurbs about employer matching. It got me thinking, why not friend matching? I gave $15. Will you match it?
