My mom has a leaky heart valve as does a family friend. Two different valves with very different complications. The heart is a facscinating and complicated organ. As such it's hard to find good information on it's varying diseases and treatments. I was reading the heartlibrary.com website tonight and watching videos from their online library. Being the computer geek, I love the ICD or implantable defibrillator. A guy in town had one of those for years and he always joked it was like a kick in the head when it jumped his heart into proper rythm. I think today's version is a kinder, gentler version. Neat what they can do nowadays.
